- Yan D. Soloh, confirmed artist, autodidact, adventurer, musician, devotes himself exclusively to painting since the turn of the century.
He has participated in many expositions, inter alia in Montreal and Quebec city,Canada,U.s.a,France and Brasilia.
This emerging artist has made a mark for himself among many collectors as well as the public, in Quebec, Canada, Europe and the United States.
From his works emerge several sets of themes ; the surrealism of Dali, the mystical oneirism of Bosch, distressed expressionism of Munch and the religious iconography of Chagall.
In the work of Yan D Soloh, “le Christ en croix”, the human body, urban landscape or pastoral, the biomorphic music and forms return such obsession. His plastic research reflects a personal mystic.
In the composition of his works, the superposition of forms or subjects gives a perspective effect.The use of colored plans contributes to the effect of depth. The colors are not used to determine the objects or characters, but create a certain atmospheric field.
In other tables, the linear prospect facilitates the entry inside the work. The use of the oblique vectors instigates movement by the gripping of objects vis-a-vis with the spectator.
His pallet of color points out the fauvism. His technique approaches the American abstract expressionists of the first wave(De Kooning, Pollock. Contrary
to the abstracted expressionists, Yan D. Soloh is characterized by the presence from a narrative speech, while integrating the violence of the gesture (dripping)of those, but not disregarding line.
The artist practices a figurative painting resembling Bad Painting, by his baroque treatment, his generous pasting, his overload of colors and his dissonances, far from the traditional rules of composition.
The artist uses various supports;canvas stretched, synthetics canvas stretched on wooden frame, fabrics, . His mediums are oil and rarely but,for some identified art-pieces ,he is mastering the acrylic's integration in his oil painting.
Yan D. Soloh is a promising artist who shows already a great smell of composition, a control of color, a rich set of themes. His oneiric and fantastic universe is to be discovered.
The government of Canada even named a new style after him. The “Yanisme”.

Intensité et contemplation
Yan D. Soloh,artiste confirmé, autodidacte, bourlingueur, musicien, se consacre exclusivement à la peinture depuis le tournant du siècle.
Il a à son actif de nombreuses expositions, entre autres à Montréal, à Québec.qc et aux Etas-Unis. Cet artiste émergeant s’est fait remarquer par de nombreux collectionneurs tant publics que privés, au Québec, au Canada ,en France, au Brésil et aux États-Unis.
De la lecture de ses oeuvres se dégagent plusieurs influences thématiques rappelant le surréalisme de Dali, l’onirisme mystique de Bosch, l’expressionnisme angoissé de Munch et l’iconographie religieuse de Chagall.
Dans l’oeuvre de Yan D Soloh, le Christ en croix, le corps humain, le paysage urbain ou champêtre, la musique et les formes biomorphiques reviennent telle une obsession. Sa recherche plastique reflète une mystique personnelle.
Dans la composition de ses oeuvres, la superposition de formes ou de sujets donne un effet perspectiviste.
L’utilisation de plans colorés contribue à l’effet de profondeur. Les couleurs ne servent pas à déterminer les objets ou personnages, mais créent un certain champ atmosphérique.
Dans d’autres tableaux, la perspective linéaire nous facilite l’entrée à l’intérieur de l’oeuvre. L’utilisation des vecteurs obliques dynamise le mouvement par la préhension de l’objet face au spectateur.
Sa facture, par sa palette de couleur, rappelle le fauvisme. Sa technique se rapproche des expressionnistes abstraits américains de la première vague (De Kooning, Pollock). Contrairement aux expressionnistes abstraits, Yan D. Soloh se distingue par la présence d’un discours narratif, tout en intégrant la violence du geste (dripping) de ceux-ci, mais ne faisant pas abstraction de la ligne.
L’artiste pratique une peinture figurative proche du Bad Painting, par son traitement baroque, ses empâtements généreux, ses surcharges de couleur et ses dissonances colorées, loin des règles classiques de la composition.
L’artiste utilise différents supports, la toile, le canvas-lins et canvas synthetique. Comme médium, il emploie l’huile et parfois, subtilement intègre acrylique.
Yan D. Soloh est un artiste prometteur qui démontre déjà un grand sens de la composition, une maîtrise de la couleur, une richesse thématique. Son univers onirique et fantastique est à découvrir.
